100 Mile RCMP suspect arson is cause of shed fire in Mountain Spruce Community Park

RCMP is investigating a shed fire in Mountain Spruce Community Park as a case of arson.

Sergeant Brian Lamb says police received a report from the Deka Lake Fire Department of a suspicious fire at a shed containing recyclables in the 6000 Block of Mahood Lake on April 11, 2026.

Lamb added that this isn’t the first time that firefighters and police have been to this location.

“This is the second incident to have occurred at this location,” says Lamb. “A previous shed was burned on March 11.”

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and ask anyone with information to call the 100 Mile House detachment.
