BC SPCA Announces Reopening Date for Quesnel Facility

Quesnel SPCA has it’s eyes set on reopening, following repairs to the ceiling after heavy rainfall.

The roof of the building ended up collapsing back in July, which had led to lengthy repairs.

This made staff work from home, with some having to use their vehicles if travel was ever needed.

You can find the working conditions story here.

It was revealed by BC SPCA that the Quesnel Facility will reopen its doors starting on December 1st.

From the SPCA’s release, Adrienne McBride, Senior Director of Community Animal Centres noted that assessments are still underway to determine the buildings long term viability.

However, sections of the building that are safe for people and animals have reopened.

As of when the building completely opens to the public, it will run from noon until 4pm Thursday-Saturday, and from 11am to 3pm for Sunday-Monday.

Tuesday, Wednesdays and holidays is when the facility will be closed.

BC SPCA has also stated that it is encouraged for people to continue with scheduling appointments for surrenders and adoptions.
