The stage is now set for the Quesnel School District to begin the public input portion in developing a Schools Development Strategy.
Tony Goulet, the Chair of Quesnel’s Board of Education, says they will hold an open house, using what is called a “World Cafe approach, on March 31st at Correlieu Secondary school.
Goulet says in the past they would go to the public to comment on recommendations but he says this time they are going to make recommendations out of comments from the public…
Goulet says this is just the start of the process and he says there will be room for more public consultation as well.
He says Cornerstone Planning Group, hired to help out in the process, will present the public with some enrollment numbers and projections up until 2034 as well as a map showing all of the schools in the District.
