An elementary school in Quesnel is hoping the public will help it win 100 thousand dollars !
Delanie Neville is the President of the Bouchie Lake Parent Advisory Council.
She says they, along with around 500 other schools and communities, entered the BCAA Play Here contest in the spring and they recently made it into the top 10 thanks to some judging.
Neville says now their fate is in the public’s hands…
“Any resident of legal age in BC can vote. You can vote up to four times a day using one each of the following…you can vote with your Facebook, your e-mail, google or twitter. and people can just go to www.bcaaplayhere.com to vote for Bouchie Lake.”
Neville says voting started on May 22nd and will continue until June 18th.
She says the top three will win the money and they are currently second.
They are hoping to build an outdoor classroom and update their playground equipment which is between 30 and 40 years old.
