Cougars continue to advance in Calgary tournament

The Cariboo Cougars will take on the German nationals in quarter-final action this afternoon at the Mac’s Midget Hockey Tournament in Calgary.

The game started at 11 o’clock our time.

The Cougars beat the Markham Waxers from Ontario 5-3 yesterday to finish the round robin with a record of 3 and 1.

The Germans were a perfect 4 and 0 and outscored their opponents 22 to 4.

Williams Lake’s Chase Dubois scored one of the goals yesterday for the Cougars.

That gives him a goal and 3 assists in the tournament.

Colton Thomas, also from Williams Lake, has a goal and an assist and Quesnel’s Keith Redden had a helper in yesterday’s game.

Griffin Outhouse, who played his minor hockey in Williams Lake as well, has been solid in goal throughout the tournament.
