100 Mile House RCMP Asking For The Public’s Help In Locating A Stolen Car

100 Mile House RCMP were advised yesterday morning (April 8) of an abandoned vehicle parked at a residential parking lot on the 500 block of Birch Avenue.

Sargent Brian Lamb said it’s a purple Honda Fit with BC licence plate TD504J and was determined to have been stolen from Penticton.

“Police attended and located the vehicle in motion which proceeded to Highway 97,” Lamb said, “Police attempted to stop it but it fled at a high rate of speed heading north on Highway 97. Police did not pursue the vehicle as it’s speeds posed too great of a risk to the public at that time.”

Police said it is believed that there were three occupants in the vehicle.

Lamb said Police are continuing the investigation and are requesting any dash cam footage if this vehicle was encountered by the public.

The incident occurred approximately between 8:10 am and 9 am.
