Carey Price to be inducted into this year’s BC Hockey Hall of Fame

The British Columbia Hockey Hall of Fame announced their inductees for the class of 2024, which includes a player from the Cariboo.

Anahim Lake product, Carey Price, will be inducted this summer, after a very successful career with the Montreal Canadiens.

Price currently holds the record for winningest goalie in franchise history for the Canadiens with 361.

He’s also won four individual NHL awards including the Hart, Vezina, Ted Lindsay, and the Williams H. Jennings trophy.

Price said in a release “Sitting here at home in my room full of equipment and everything, it’s really humbling to have been able to experience such an amazing ride from Anahim Lake to now. It has really been a surreal ride.”

Former teammate Shea Weber will also be inducted into the BC Hockey Hall of Fame, along with Scott Bradley, Tom Kowal, and the 2010 Fort St. John Flyers team.

The BC Hockey Hall of Fame ceremony will be in Penticton on July 19th.
