End Of Line For Local Rink At Provincial Curling Championships In Quesnel

A Quesnel rink is out of the BC Men’s and Women’s Curling Championships.

The Braddy Waffle foursome, taking on the defending provincial champion Sean Geall rink, once again started strong, jumping out to an early 3-2 lead with two in the first and one more in the third.

But Geall scored one in six straight ends after that to win 8-3.

Waffle, despite going 0 and 3, says the experience was everything he expected and more.

The B final is now set on the men’s side of the draw.

The Jason Montgomery rink out of VIctoria defeated the Blanford rink 8-3 and will now play the Dean Joanisse rink tomorrow morning.

Joanisse defeated the Tim Tardi team that is coming off their third straight Canadian junior title 8-7.

There is one more draw tonight beginning at 7 o’clock.
