The Horsefly Volunteer Fire Department says they’re pleased to announce the details about a provincial grant they received last week.
The $30,000 cheque which was presented to Fire Chief Cecil Morhart by Cariboo North MLA Coralee Oakes will be used to purchase safety equipment for volunteer fire fighters and first responders.
The Department adds that a portion is being set aside to apply new exterior siding on the building that is also the home of the Seniors Activity and Wellness Society.
