Quesnel Arena Plans To Be Unveiled

The Cariboo Regional District and the City of Quesnel wil be hosting an open house on the new North Cariboo Arena Replacement Project early next week.

It will take place in the lobby of the old arena between 6 and 8 o’clock on Tuesday night.

CRD Area A Director Ted Armstrong, also the Co-Chair of the North Cariboo Joint Planning Committee, says the idea is to give the community a glimpse of the architect’s drawings which are about 75 percent complete.

He says even as a local politican he haven’t seen them so he’ll see them at the same time as the public.

Armstrong says they are hoping to have an answer on the federal gas tax money that they are waiting for by then as well.

He says local politicians will be at the open house to answer questions along with the architects.
