The Watch Lake-North Green Lake Volunteer Fire Department are hoping to be able to spread some extra holiday cheer this year, as the group has started up their own hamper distribution.
The idea is to collect things that could help out people having a rough go of it says Sandy Wilson from the board of directors who hopes the program can help bring the community together:
“We had a directors meeting, and we decided that we want to bring our community together as well. So we’ll put out Christmas hampers and let the community donate and see where we can go with it.”
The ninety-nine mile supermarket, the seventy-mile store, and little horse lodge are the locations for the donation boxes for the program.
