Charges laid in connection with what police call a B&E operation in the South Cariboo

A 46-year old man is facing charges after numerous items were seized from a residence in the Bridge Lake area.
Grant Boyd Frederick Braun has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000.
100 Mile House RCMP Sergeant Brian Lamb says police received a report of a break and enter in progress on September 17, 2026 at a residence on the 8000 block of Highway 24.
He says they then went to a second location in the area where a cargo trailer that had previously been reported stolen was located.
Lamb says a suspect was arrested at the scene and a search warrant was conducted on the property.
He says it resulted in the seizure of a secondary cargo trailer, a flat deck trailer and a side-by-side ATV, numerous power tools, generators and other power equipment, as well as other items that are believed to be stolen from recent break and enters in the area.
Lamb says the man’s truck was seized as a proceeds of crime and investigators are engaging with BC Civil Forfeiture as part of the investigation as well.
Braun is due back in court on November 17, 2026.
