A couple of Quesnel businesses are in the provincial spotlight.
Barkerville Brewing Company and Julie’s Edible Bouquets are both semifinalists for the 12th annual Small Business BC Awards.
Barkerville Brewing Company is nominated for Best Online Marketer and Julie’s Edible Bouquets is up for the Premier’s People’s Choice award.
British Columbians were asked between October 1st and November 30th to nominate and vote for their favorite small businesses.
This year there were 460 nominations province-wide.
The semi-finalists will now move forward to face a panel of judges, who will review their applications and narrow down the competition to the top 5 finalists in each category.
They will be announced on Jan. 30 of next year. The winners will be honored on Feb. 26 in Vancouver.
