The Williams Lake Water Advisory Committee will be disbanding.
Councilor Laurie Walters says she is sad to see them go.
“This was the efforts of a group that had started in 2008 and they put a lot of work and research…At the time there was I guess lots to do and to report back to Council and I guess it’s no longer necessary,” she said.
“It’s very sad that a committee like that which is quite crucial for our community to know that they’re no longer there.”
The Committee met more than ten times in 2009 assisting the City on the issue of fluoridation and were involved in the completion of the official Community Plan.
The City will be sending letters of appreciation to committee members thanking them for their contributions.
