Brenner Files Papers For Council Race

Interior health worker and small business owner Marnie Brenner filed her papers to run for City Council in Williams Lake.

Brenner says she is a bringing the commitment  to be invested, approachable, and willingness to listen to help bring forth transparency.

“There are a lot of people out there who have concerns with the way the City is run and there’s a lot of things out there where I’m not sure it’s always truthful on what they’re being told…so to be able to go straight to the source or have somebody that you can go to the source, somebody who’s transparent, somebody who’s a team player.”

Brenner also says despite the controversy she would like to see issues on the pool to be addressed.

“People talk about lowering taxes and I think one way to lower taxes is to increase the tax base…In order to increase the tax base, we need to have something that is desirable and to have a pool and a facility like that is a desirable thing to have.”

Brenner says she moved to Williams Lake from Saskatchewan 14 years ago and would like to continue to make Williams Lake a desirable place to live.
