A lightning-caused wildfire 80 kilometers northwest of Quesnel has prompted crews from the Wildfire Management Branch to respond.
The 250-hectare fire near Pelican Lake was discovered Wednesday.
There are currently 20 firefighters and two helicopters on site.
Fire Information Officer Emily Epp, says over 45 additional staff including sustained action crews, a specialized Incident Management Team, and other support staff is currently on route.
Two more helicopters and heavy equipment are also being mobilized to support fire suppression efforts.
No structures are being threatened at this time.
The fire is burning in the same location as the historical wildfire near Pelican Lake in 2010.
