Northern leaders will be landing in Prince George tomorrow to take part in the North Central Local Government Association’s 60th AGM and Convention.
Cariboo Regional District Director for Area D, Steve Forseth, who will be one of more than 300 political leaders in attendance, says he’s looking forward to the event.
“Certainly networking opportunities with fellow local government colleagues through the North, a lot of the resolutions debate; it will be interesting to see what my colleagues have to say,” he says.
“Also there is a business session on economic development return on investment; hopefully we’ll have two-way conservation with Janine North from Northern Development Initiative Trust around how to make decisions around the limited dollars that the Cariboo Regional District has available in Area D.”
The 2-day convention which will discuss near and distant future changes, challenges, and opportunities runs until Friday.
