Yesterday’s summer-like temperatures across the Cariboo might have seen people donning shorts and flip-flops although no records were broken.
Meteorologist Lisa Coldwells, with Environment Canada, says the beautiful day was 7Â degrees shy from hitting a record.
“Williams Lake ended up with a temperature of 19.9 degrees yesterday. Quesnel was a little bit warmer at 22.7, but it did not break any records.”
“The records for April 20th are actually quite high. The temperature was 26.7 degrees in 1942 in Williams Lake.”
Normal highs for this time of year according to Environment Canada is 15Â degrees.
