A Boil Water Notice has been issued in Horse Lake.

The Cariboo Regional District issued the notice yesterday for residents on the Horse Lake Water System at the request of a Drinking Water Officer.

Residents are asked to bring water from the taps to a rolling boil for at least one minute before using water for the following:

Drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing dishes or vegetables to be eaten raw, and watering animals.

The CRD also suggests residents use bottled water or an alternative source of water when possible; the regional district also suggests using hand sanitizer after washing hands.

The Boil Water Notice will remain in effect until the Regional District sends an official rescind notice to the community.
