100 Mile House RCMP recover stolen property from a break and enter

A motor vehicle collision led to an arrest in the South Cariboo.

On May 2, 100 Mile House RCMP received a report of a break and enter to a property on Larson Road.

Sargent Brian Lamb said multiple structures on the property were broken into where two ATV’s were known stolen.

“Later that day Police received a report of a motor vehicle collision involving an ATV on the 5000 block of Canim Hendrix Lake Road.” Lamb said, “ RCMP attended where an adult male was found beside one of the ATV’s that had been stolen. He attempted to run but was apprehended and surrendered without further incident.”

Lamb says the male was arrested for possession of stolen property as well for several outstanding warrants.

Police say he was remanded into custody and has been charged with three counts of possession of stolen property and break and enter.

Other property that was taken from the break in was also recovered.

Lamb said an adult female was initially arrested but later released.
