Intersection improvements at Cariboo Trail, Horse Lake Road, and Birch Avenue in the South Cariboo will begin today (May 4).
Todd Conway, Director of Community Services, said work is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks while crews install a fully controlled intersection with new lights and islands.
“This will increase the safety of the intersection,” Conway said, “Please be aware of crews and equipment and adhere to all posted construction zone requirements.”
Closures and delays may periodically occur throughout the project and motorists are asked to allow extra travel time and consider detouring via Cedar Avenue or Alder Avenue.
The District of 100 Mile House appreciate your patience and cooperation as they work to improve the community’s infrastructure.
