Residents of Williams Lake and surrounding communities are invited to attend a special Open House being put on by the Ministry of Forests.
It’s an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about the development of the Cariboo-Chilcotin Forest Landscape Plan to support long-term forest stewardship, sustainability and community priorities.
The open house will be held tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Gibraltar Room in the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.
The Forest Landscape Plan is a new approach that establishes clear direction for the management of forest-related values such as old forests, biodiversity, ecosystem health, climate change, watershed health and wildfire risk.
A survey is now available online until May 30th and the feedback will help inform future forest management decisions in the region.
