Kamloops Search & Rescue Society To Resume Search for Missing Prince George Woman

The search for a missing Prince George woman who was reportedly last seen in Williams Lake continues.

Prince George RCMP say they were notified on Sunday that 61-year-old Jenny Lynn Larocque’s Great Dane/Brindle Mastiff dog which had suffered minor injuries was located in the Venables Valley area, south of Ashcroft.

“On Monday, an RCMP Air Services helicopter and a Police Dog Service Team attended the area and began a search with the assistance of the Kamloops Search & Rescue Society,” said Cpl. Craig Douglass.

“Larocque’s vehicle, a dark blue 2014 Jeep Compass, was located later that day stuck on a rural road. Jenny was not located. The search continued for more days without success.”

The search which was postponed today is expected to resume tomorrow.

Larocque is described as:

  • Caucasian female
  • 160 cm (5’3″)
  • 45 kg (99 lbs)
  • Green eyes
  • Brown hair

Douglass says at this point that investigators have no reason to believe that Larocque has been the victim of foul play.
