Things Went From Bad To Worse For This Accused Criminal

An off road motorcycle driver is on hot water with the 100 Mile House RCMP after initially refusing to stop for police.

Corporal Brian Lamb says Cariboo Chilcotin Traffic Services was conducting patrols on the 300 block of Highway 97 on Saturday. (Sept. 10)

Lamb says a member attempted to stop the motorcycle but the driver fled.

He was arrested a short time later on Alder Avenue and didn’t attempt to flee this time.

Lamb says the 43-year old male, a 100 Mile resident, showed signs of alcohol consumption and was given a roadside breath test which resulted in a fail.

And Lamb says his troubles weren’t done there…

“A search of a backpack that was on this individual resulted in the seizure of a prohibited firearm and queries on the motorcycle itself showed that it had been stolen from the lone butte area in 2005.”

Lamb says the accused is now facing numerous charges including Flight From Police, Possession of a Prohibited Firearm and Possession of Stolen Property.
