Quesnel Prominent At National Rodeo Finals

Not a bad start for a Quesnel cowgirl at the National High School Rodeo Finals in Gillette, Wyoming.

Mariah Mannering placed 9th out of 30 in her section of Pole Bending this (July 18) morning.

That puts her 14th out of 60 so far.

Her time was 21.01 seconds.

Mannering second go will be on Friday morning.

Denton Spiers, also from Quesnel, was 12th out of the 14 teams that got times in the Team Roping this morning.

His partner is Fallyn Mills from Pink Mountain, B.C.

They go again on Friday as well.

Tonight, Tyler Cherry is up in the Bull Riding and Dustin Spiers, rounding out the Quesnel contingent, will be in the Team Roping.
