Central Cariboo Search and Rescue Respond to Lost Woman

A happy ending to a woman on horseback who became lost night last night after 10.

Six members of the Central Cariboo Search and Rescue went out with three of them on quads to locate the woman and her horse, according to CRD Manager of Protective Services, Rowena Bastien.

“They found her about 3:30 am this morning and then she walked out on the horse following the quads, came down Bull Mountain Rd.”

Bastien says the woman did everything right, when she realized that she had become lost.

“She had her cell phone, she called 911, she stayed put, she had a blanket, she wrapped up and kept warm-it was perfect.”
