100 Mile House Wrangler Head Coach parts ways with hockey club

100 Mile House Wranglers Head Coach Dale Hladun has parted ways from the team.

The announcement was made by the team on their Facebook page, thanking Hladun for all his years with the association and community.

President Greg Aiken says the mutual decision is something that had been building up.

“Dale has done a lot for the community of 100 Mile House and the 100 Mile House Wranglers, and we fully appreciate his efforts and all the stuff he’s done for us over the last 9 or 10 years.” says Aiken.

“Third season in the league and he brought us a Western Canadian Championship, BC Championship, and a KIJHL Championship so, he’s done well.”

Aiken added that they’re very grateful for the time he’s been here, the quality kids he brought to the organization, and the standard of excellence he provided them.

Assistant Coach Lee Hansen will be taking over the Head Coach role on an interim basis, with Aiken acting as the interim General Manager for the rest of the season.

The Wranglers currently have a record of 9-19-2-2, and sit in fourth in the Doug Birks Division with 22 points, only ahead by the Chase Heat who have 19 points and two games in hand.
