Northern Capitals Capture Mac’s Female Championship

The Northern Capitals made short work of the Rocky Mountain Raiders defeating them 5-1 in the female championship game at the Macs midget hockey tournament in Calgary yesterday.

Despite falling behind 1-0 after 20 minutes, the Capitals scored four times on just 6 shots in the middle frame to go up 4-1 after two periods.

Sage Desjardins notched a pair while Marissa Nichol and Hunter Mosher potted singles.

Casey Norris was credited with the Caps fifth goal in the third after a misplay at the Rocky Mountain goal by netminder Erin Fargey to make it 5-1.
