National Indigenous Peoples Day Underway In Quesnel And Williams Lake

National Indigenous Peoples Day is being celebrated across the country today, including in Quesnel and Williams Lake.

Until 3 this afternoon a celebration is going at the Helen Dxon Centre in Quesnel with everything from food, booths with games, fishing, crafts, and entertainment on stage.

In Williams Lake National Indigenous Peoples Day began with a parade at 10 this morning organized by the Northern Shuswap Tribal Council that went down First Avenue, up Oliver Street and arriving at Boitanio Park where festivities will be held until 3:30 this afternoon.
