Women of the South Cariboo are hoping to take back the night tonight in 100 Mile House.
Executive Director of the 100 Mile House Women’s Centre Sonja Ramsay hopes that the event will help bring attention to an issue that continues to exist not just in the area, but across the country:
“We’re hoping that everyone in the community will come out and help us march to take back the night in an effort to bring an awareness to ending violence – especially sexual violence against women and children”
The candlelit event will get started at the 100 Mile House Community Hall at 5 pm and run until 8:30.
