Impaired Driving Stop yields Ecstasy and stolen firearm

A routine impaired driving stop by 100 Mile House RCMP turned into something more Sunday evening with police finding drugs and several firearms also in the vehicle.

Cpl. Brian Lam says that in addition to MDMA, police also found three firearms including one that had been stolen from a Williams Lake residence in 2003.

The 36-year-old driver who was under a firearms prohibition will face charges of impaired driving, possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, and breach of a prohibition order.
