A young rider from 100 Mile House is on her way to Wyoming to compete in the National High School Finals Rodeo.

10th grade student Jordyn Karl of Forest Grove will be competing in the pole bending competition.

” I was fourth in finals in pole bending in BC, so in July i’m heading down to Rock Springs Wyoming to compete for team BC.” she says.

The NHSFR is called one of the worlds largest rodeos, and is in its 70th year. Competitors from all over North America compete for more than three hundred fifty thousand dollars in scholarships. The competition takes place July 15-21 and will be televised.
