RCMP respond to a stabbing incident in Forest Grove

100 Mile House RCMP arrested a suspect in connection with a stabbing in Forest Grove.

Sergeant Brian Lamb says that police were called to a residence on Sunday, Oct. 25, on Bakken Road. There, police determined that an adult male had been stabbed by a second male who was located in the home and then arrested.

“The victim was assessed at the scene by Emergency Health Services and transported to hospital for further treatment,” says Lamb. “The injuries sustained were serious, but not believed to be life-threatening.”

A search warrant was executed by the police as part of the investigation to gain additional evidence.

“The man arrested was held in custody for a bail hearing. Both men were known to each other, and this was not a random act,” Lamb said.

According to Lamb, the victim remains in hospital.
