With spring on the way following a relatively mild winter across the Cariboo, Wildsafe BC is reminding individuals about preventing human and wildlife conflicts.
Provincial Coordinator, Frank Ritcey, says it won’t be just garbage you will want to manage as bears return from their slumber.
Ritcey says although there have been no reports of bear sightings as of yet, the Wildlife Alerting Program has received recent numerous complaints of coyotes within the Cariboo.
BC Conservation Office Services had received over 28,000 calls regarding such human-wildlife conflicts in 2014/2015- 17,600 in which involved bears.
