Will It Ever End ?

A lot of Cariboo residents were probably asking that question this morning as more flurries fell in the region.

Environment Canada’s Lisa West does have some good news for us…

“We do need to hang tight for the next 24 hours here. We have a low-pressure system moving across the province, but starting on Friday the trend is towards sunny skies and warm temperatures. We’ve got highs getting up to 9 on Sunday but then into the double digits for the start of the week, 11-12 for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.”

West is a little more elusive when it comes to the question of will this be the last snowfall…

“That’s really tough to say. We’re in the transition month right now, we’re coming out of meteorological winter and heading into spring now. Once we get past this next 24 hours, like I said we’re heading towards several days of warm temperatures, but as we get into late next week there is a trough of cool air that is going to be sitting over the eastern Pacific, so just offshore here, and that will eventually make its way into the province.

West says we’ll have to see how cold we get and that there could be a few flurries that come with it.
