Celebrations for the 20th Annual National Aboriginal Day wrapped up Tuesday afternoon in Williams Lake.
Marg Casey is the Community Services Coordinator with the Northern Shuswap Tribal Council.
“The parade is just growing; every year we get more entries and more elaborate floats. There was a group of Marie Sharpe students led by Francis Johnson from Alkali Lake and they just did a great job.”
Casey says among the new things held this year that then carried into Boitanio Park included a summer solstice ceremony and a bannock belly competition.
