The Williams Lake Fire Department were on the scene of a fire at Parallel Wood Products Friday morning.
Fire Chief Des Webster says crews were there for about two and a half hours.
“We got the call at about 6:30 this morning to a fire in their dust collection system. It appears the fire was in the back house of that system. It looks at this point that it was a seized motor that contributed to the fire.”
Webster says there is some damage although he is not sure of the dollar value.
The company owner says they are working to have a plan in place for workers who were sent home today, to be back on the job on Monday as well as having an assessment completed.
