It’s a tradition that’s been going on for almost three decades in Williams Lake.

The Annual Nutrition Fun Walk and Run began back in 1990 with 60 participants and has been getting bigger every year since.

Recreation CoOrdinator for the Cariboo Memorial Complex, Denise Skarra explains what this event is all about.

“The Nutrition run is the first opportunity in the spring to celebrate healthy eating and active living, so we have people that are able to come out and bike, walk, and ride and run five kilometres to celebrate spring”.

The Nutrition Fun Walk and Run began in 1990 with 60 participants and has grown to well over 400 residents taking part every year.

This free five kilometre event starts this sunday morning at 11 at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex.
