Celebrating Cheesecake Today, and 49 Years on Friday as the Community’s Bakery

In celebration of National Cheesecake Day across Canada, the Quesnel Bakery has been selling, and selling out of, three signature types of the cool dessert. The celebrations at the Quesnel Bakery are just their first for the long weekend. On friday, the iconic bakery of the town celebrates its 49th anniversary. Quesnel’s 30 Plus Year Running Fire Safety House Still Teaching the Next Generation

Quesnel kids got some hands-on fire safety learning from the Quesnel Fire Department in its Fire Safety House with the Imagination Park. A tradition that Fire Chief Ron Richert says has been going back for nigh 30 years or more, taking grade 3 kids across the Quesnel School District. Teaching the signs of fire danger and household safety equipment in a mobile safety house.

Red Bluff Sewer Maintenance from August to October

The Red Bluff area will have sewer maintenance flusing being done from Short Drive to Maple Heights for three months. However, the Cariboo Regional District (CRD) assures residents in the area that only traffic may be affected.

Quesnel City Council Approve “Important to the Communty” Anderson Drive Apartment Project

Quesnel City Council approved four bylaw rezonings and construction on a "much-needed" new apartment building on Anderson Drive in July 29's City Council Meeting. An apartment building, proposed by BC Housing, at 230 Anderson Drive, has been given the green light to get underway by Quesnel City Council. The apartment building is specially designed to be second-stage women's transistion housing.
