Police in 100 Mile House respond to stabbing incident

100 Mile House RCMP responded to a call for an assault with a weapon.

Police say they were called to a residence on the 37-hundred block of Highway 97 on Wednesday (Feb 19) of last week.

Upon arrival, they found an adult male suffering from a stab wound.

Police say a suspect was located nearby and arrested without incident.

The victim was transported to hospital with what were described as non life-threatening injuries.

Police say the two males were known to each other and the incident was not random.

The suspect has since been released from custody and the investigation continues.
