Williams Lake Public Works to hold their open house this weekend

The City of Williams Lake Public Works is inviting residents to their open house this Saturday (May 25th).

Last year, which was the first event after a lengthy hiatus due to the pandemic, saw plenty of families stop by to see the various City vehicles and equipment.

Director of Municipal Services, Rob Warnock says he’s looking forward to this year’s open house.

“It was fun last year, we’re going to pretty much have everything that we had last year, all the equipment will be out and have several staff members out and about talking to people.” says Warnock.

“We just invite everyone down and come take a look at the public works yard.”

Warnock says it’s a great opportunity for kids, as they will be able to use the backhoe tractor, a crane, and ride on the bucket truck.

The open house, which is a part of Public Works Week, will go from 10:00am to 1:00pm at the City Works Yard at 555 2nd Avenue north.
