South Cariboo Search and Rescue Commended in Mt Timothy Rescue

The South Cariboo Search and Rescue is receiving accolades for their work in recovering an overdue skier over the weekend.

Search and Rescue were able to locate the missing Lac La Hache man at Saturday night, in the back country around Mount Timothy while competing with blowing snow.

Corporal Brian Lamb with the 100 Mile House RCMP says it was a tremendous effort and gives the group full credit in saving the skier’s life:

We thought Search and Rescue had a tremendous response. They were very well organized, displayed great teamwork, and a real dedication to location this missing individual.

The skier was checked out by medics on scene and found to be suffering from nothing more serious than exposure.
