Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism will be welcoming some special guests to the region this week.
The leadership of Destination BC will be get an opportunity to get a taste of the land without limits this Wednesday and Thursday when they host their board meeting in the Clinton area.
Amy Thacker, CEO of Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism said Destination BC is critical in attracting visitors from the rest of Canada, the United States, and the world to our province.
“We’ve previously hosted them in Williams Lake and Bella Coola. The Board of Directors that guide and advise the decisions of our Crown responsible for marketing the province will get to experience some of our products, see some of our beautiful region, meet the people and hear what the opportunities and issues are on the ground that influence and play a role in the decisions that get made to benefit people down the road.”
Thacker encourages local residents and tourism operators to share any ideas with Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism to be passed on to the Destination BC Board when they visit.
“Our Board of Directors will be meeting with the Board of Directors with the Crown Corporation and they would love to make sure that any ideas or concerns local are passed on.”
