Co-accused in suspicious death in Williams Lake area sentenced to more jail time

Sentencing has been handed down for the co-accused in a suspicious death near Williams Lake.

24-year old Daine Stump, who pleaded guilty to manslaughter, was sentenced to 6 years in prison minus time already served, which amounts to another two years, 7 months and 18 days behind bars.

Stump also received a mandatory 10-year firearms prohibition in Supreme Court in Kamloops.

He was originally charged with first degree murder in the death of 43-year old Jamie Sellars Baldwin.

32-year old Wyatt Boffa was also charged in connection with this case.

He went to trial and was found not guilty of second degree murder.

Williams Lake RCMP were called to a residence on Mountain House Road in the Deep Creek area back in December of 2018.

Upon arrival, police discovered the body of an adult male, later identified as Baldwin.
