Extra December Distribution Set for South Cariboo Food Bank Recipients

There will be something of a bonus for food bank recipients in the South Cariboo come December.

The 100 Mile House Food Bank will be upping the number of distribution days from two to three says Secretary Treasurer Kathy Haveman

“This time we’re going to be open the first, third and the fourth Tuesday… because the third Tuesday is too far from December 25th and the food won’t last from the 15th to the 25th, so they are getting a bonus

Haveman points out that the Food Bank usually distributes on the first and third Tuesday of the month, but with the way the calendar shakes down this year, an adaptation was necessary.
