UPDATE: More Advisories Given To Cariboo Roads

UPDATE 425PM:

Highway 97 in both directions travel advisory in effect 30 kilometers south of 150 Mile House to 8 kilometers of Wildwood due to freezing rain. Travel is not recommended at this time.

Highway 20 in both directions travel advisory Bella Coola to Williams Lake due to freezing rain, travel is not recommended at this time.

Highway 24 in both directions travel advisory in effect due to black ice 6 kilometers west Lone Butte to 33 kilometers west of Little Fort. Travel is not recommended at this time.

UPDATE:

In the South Cariboo due to freezing rain, Highway 24 Lone Butte to Little Fort, motorists are being advised by Drive BC to avoid nonessential travel and to expect delays and closures on short notice.

And on Highway 97 south of Clinton to the south of 100 Mile House, travel is not recommended at this time due to freezing rain.

Drive BC has issued a travel advisory for Highway 20 from Bella Coola to Anahim Lake.

That’s because of an increased avalanche risk due to snowfall and weather conditions.

Drive BC is reminding motorists that the road may close at any time.

A travel advisory is also in effect on Highway 20 between Redstone-Chezacut (chez-a-cut) to 23 kilometers west of Williams Lake due to freezing rain.

Drive BC is saying travel is not recommended at this time and updates on these conditions will be made available later this afternoon at 3.
