100 Mile Fire Deparment Hosts Open House

Fire Prevention Week is coming up and 100 Mile House Fire Rescue is kicking things off on Sunday with an open house.
Fire Chief Darrel Blades says it will take place between 11 am and 2 pm at the fire department…
“We’ll have some auto-ex demos, some fire equipment demos, trucks on display, hotdogs for the kids and visitors, our EMS team will have a display up, and we’re just going to go over fire prevention with anyone who that stops in and want to chat and play with the trucks and tools.”
Blades says it is a family event and kids can get their picture taken in the fire truck.
Blades adds although the department is not actively recruiting right now, that information will be available at the open house as well.
Fire prevention week runs from October 5 to 11.
