Bill C-51 is headed to a third reading and the N-D-P candidate for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo isn’t happy about it.

Bill Sundhu doesn’t mince words when describing the controversial bill

Sundhu, a human rights lawyer, says the bill is unnecessary and fails to address the actual issues.

C-51 has received its share of criticism since being unveiled earlier this year as numerous politicians, human rights organizations, educators and lawyers have spoken out in protest of it.

If passed into law, the legislation would enable greater information sharing between various government agencies and broaden the scope of the Canadian spy agencies power.
