Liberal Candidate Rips Budget

The new federal budget does not have a fan in Steve Powrie.

The Liberal candidate for Kamloops-Thompson-Cariboo didn’t mince words in criticizing Tuesday’s budget announcement

Powrie questions why these new budget policies weren’t implemented over the past ten years if the government truly believes them critical to the good of the country.

Military spending is a particular sore spot for Powrie, who criticizes the Tories ‘optics-based spending.’

If the budget is any indicator, the lead-up to the tentative October election will be very interesting indeed.
