The Quesnel Volunteer Fire Department responded to a house fire in West Quesnel last night.
Duty Officer Mark Rawling says they were called to a home on Allard Street at around 10 o’clock.
He says a passerby called it in and that upon arrival they could see flames coming from the roof.
Rawling says they were able to knock it down fairly quickly.
No one was home at the time but he says they were able to get a dog out safely.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
